Drew Harrison

12 Team- Human Ecology and Mathematics

For the first 18 years of his life, Drew’s home was the high desert of central Oregon. Exploring the bountiful natural beauty that region has to offer was a crucial piece of his early education. In high school Drew developed a love for chemistry, guitar, basketball, and expedition leadership. These passions brought Drew to the University of Puget Sound (UPS) where he studied biochemistry and music. After graduating he left UPS with a newfound love for kayaking and a renewed desire to learn and explore. Since then he has led paddling trips in Washington and Idaho, volunteered at free medical clinics in Peru, facilitated high ropes and ecology with middle schoolers in the San Juan Islands, and spent time in six different countries. In his free time he enjoys laughing at his own jokes and untangling snarls of fishing line. He is looking forward to sharing his excitement for science, mediocre humor, and joyful moments outside in his new role at The Sage School.
