The Sage School was founded on a simple premise – How we educate our children determines the fate of our world. As a grades 6-12 independent school, we recognize that adolescence is a critical development window for learning essential academic, cognitive, social and emotional skills. The Sage School provides students with an environment where they can positively construct their identities, immerse themselves in their communities and develop their sense of place with meaning and connection.
Over the course of their education, each Sage student participates in ~422 hours of service/action, spends ~175 days in the field on immersive experiences ranging from learning about homelessness in San Francisco to being in the remote wilderness of Idaho, and creates 15-25 meaningful connections with different community organizations and partners.
