As an independent school for grades 6-12, we recognize that adolescence is a critical development window for learning essential academic, cognitive, social, and emotional skills. We provide students with an environment where they can positively construct their identities, immerse themselves in their communities, and develop their sense of place with meaning and connection.
We are intentionally small, enrolling approximately 100 students in our 6-12 grade program.
We encourage you to begin the admission process in January prior to your child’s first year with us at Sage. This allows adequate time to visit our Open House, Take a Personal Tour, Join us for a School Visit Day, and Explore Your Financial Commitments.

The Sage School is a thriving environment for students providing a challenging, authentic curriculum, centered on human ecology and engaging experiences designed specifically to promote self-awareness, community responsibility, and a sense of place.
Founded in the late spring of 2009, The Sage School opened with 16 students in grades 8 through 12 in September of that year. Since then, the school has grown to serve students across grades 6 through 12.
Fall of 2022 we opened our new campus nestled in the foothills of Quigley Canyon, to accommodate our continued growth and experiential learning in a place built just for us and our unique approach to learning.
The Sage School is a fully accredited member of the Northwest Association of Independent Schools. NWAIS is dedicated to guiding our ongoing improvement and advancing independent school education.
